I wanted to write to you and tell you that earlier today I found myself looking online to find a good place to purchase Pony T-shirts. I couldn't find anywhere that was affordable, and so I looked local. A shop at the mall wanted something upwards of $29 a shirt, and so I turned that down as well. Eventually I found an image printing website that allowed a user to upload images to be printed onto mugs, pens, hats, business cards, and so on. I jumped on the chance to create some custom shirts, and was amazed that their prices were so affordable (between $5.50 and $8 a shirt, free shipping).
My mind was totally focused on the creation of really special shirts, and here comes the point of why I am writing to you. I used your Slumbered Ponies Reverie image, your Derpy Joyful Muffins image, Monochrome Grunge Rainbow Dash and Twilight images for the shirt designs. I didn't think to ask permission from you until after I had placed the order, and now I'm writing to make amends and apologize for my lack of responsibility to you, the artist.
I wanted to let you know that each shirt does your work justice, and looks really beautiful. That each shirt was a one-off for my own personal use, that the website does not list user-submitted designs or works, so no one else will be able to get these shirts. Lastly, that the website does hold onto a submitted design for a maximum of three weeks before discarding it, presumably in case you wanted to order more for some reason.
I intend to tell everypony who asks that it is your amazing artwork on the shirt, and lead them to your deviant art page.
So I am very sorry, but I want you to know that I have learned my lesson, and I apologize again if I have upset you in any way. In the future I will always ask permission, if I want to use the image in any way.
Again I am truly sorry and I hope that you will forgive me, -Matt
Nah, it's fine. It's nice that people use my works for stuff, and especially when they credit me for them. I should probably ask payment from you, but eh, forget it. I'm totally cool with it.
